Stampinator Air vs. Stampinator 480: What’s the Difference?
Share
While the Stampinator Air and Stampinator 480 may look nearly identical, there’s one critical upgrade that sets them apart: precise control over pressing time.
With the original Stampinator 480, pressing time is controlled indirectly through your press by adjusting the squeegee dwell time on the press control panel. This can be limiting—especially when you need shorter press times. For example, if your press has a minimum dwell time of 5 seconds, you won’t be able to achieve quicker applications like a 2-second pre-stamp to matte down fibers.
The Stampinator Air solves this problem.
Instead of relying on the press, it allows you to control pressing time directly on the unit itself using its pneumatic system. That means even if your press arm is set to stay down for 7 seconds, the Stampinator Air can release after just 2 seconds.
Why This Matters
This added control gives you the flexibility to:
- Dial in exact pressing times for different applications
- Achieve better print consistency and quality
- Perform quick processes like pre-matting fibers without overexposing garments to heat
In short, the Stampinator Air gives you precision that the Stampinator 480 simply can’t match, making it a powerful upgrade for shops that need tighter control and higher efficiency.
